Nothing to do today? Then come hang out with us at Montrose beach! We’ll bring a cooler with water, a football and Frisbees to toss around! You bring: blanket or a beach chair, bathing suit, beach towel, and whatever else you want to drink, munchies and sunblock! The water is refreshing after playing tag football! We will meet at the south end of the beach by the boathouse – right by the wooden walk from the boathouse to the beach – look for the yellow Highlife banner and red balloons!

It has been months since the last time Indy came for a visit in Chicago, let’s meet up in the MIDDLE this time!!! It is HIGH time for the Indy and Chicago Highlifers to get together and have some serious fun! For this FANTASTIC Club Mixer we will be meeting up at Indiana Beach (equidistant from BOTH clubs!) where we will be camping, water skiing, wake boarding, tubing, pontooning… and, who knows what else?! Indiana beach also has an amusement park, a sand beach, restaurants and bars for you to check out when you aren’t hanging out at the camp! Throw your sleeping bag, pillow and tent in the car and head to Indiana Beach for a weekend of fun and sun. We will be organizing carpools for this event, so call the Highlife office if you want to go with the group.

See Wrigley Field at its finest! Who knows what they will be calling it in the future, hopefully it will still be good old Wrigley by the time we get there. Wrigley Park is the second-oldest ballpark in the majors, behind Boston’s Fenway Park. Come with us for a 90 minute tour of this historic ball park. We will be seeing the Cubs clubhouse, press box, visitor’s clubhouse, bleachers, dugouts on deck circles, mezzanine suites and security headquarters. Not only that but this tour serves a great cause as well. Proceeds from the tours will benefit Cubs Care, the charitable arm of the organization, and a fund of the Robert R. McCormick Tribune Foundation. So come get up close and personal with your favorite ball park while helping out a great charity!

You call this camping? This is actually more like sleeping in a tent at a resort! There is a heated pool, a hot tub, sand volleyball court, horseshoes, a bar, a restaurant, grocery store, laundry showers and electricity. We will have a fish fry on Friday night, steak cook out on Saturday night, grilled dinner on Sunday night and breakfast each morning. We will have optional activities that you can choose from for a nominal fee too. All you need to bring is a sleeping bag, pad, your own beverages/booze (cans please) , a change or two of clothes, swim suit, jacket (it does get cold at night), chair, and a good sense of humor and the desire to meet new people. We will be camping with our sister club from Minneapolis and they are lots of fun. So sign up today. If you need a tent or a ride, call the office as soon as possible so we can make the necessary arrangements. Don’t miss out on this awesome weekend of fun! Space is limited!

The weather is finally getting better, so we’re heading to the Horse Races! Post time is at 7:20pm, the dinner buffet is available until 9:30pm with a dessert buffet until 10pm. You will also get a racing program, admission to the park, PLUS we will also get a race dedication and a photo of our group and everyone gets a copy! Also we will be having a raffle for two people to win a ride in a starter car. This night is going to be full of fun!
